Seeing Is Knowing

All Posts, Master Closet

When I ordered my drapes for my Master Closet, I couldn’t decide between white or grey.  This was what I saw that made me WANT white curtains.

I can’t find the original source but I saw it on Pinterest.

Ooh la la!  I just love WHITE.  (Little personal tidbit:  It’s my favorite color!)

Anyway…I’m also loving grey right now and I thought could go with either color but wasn’t sure which I’d like BEST so I ordered drapes in both colors.

I put up the grey first, because I always like to save the best for last.  I mean, I thought I was going to like the white the best …

Turns out…I saved the not so best for last.

I do LOVE these drapes though.  They’re thick and heavy and have an awesome texture and are lined and interlined.  They’re Posh!  I might use them elsewhere.  (Or return them ’cause they were a tad expensive.  More than PB but PB’s weren’t interlined so I think these are nicer and worth the extra $30 each.  Eeekh)

SOoo yeah, I’m sticking with the grey!

And now I’d like to take a moment to thank my sponsor,  Fish Foam for helping me keep doing what I’m doing here…

{Of course I cleaned my windows before I hung my drapes.  What?  In these old things?  All the time!}

I LOVE white also, and I agree… The gray is FABulous! So I will have to try FishFoam. What a strange name, but memorable!

Hmm, I think they are both lovely but I am a color girl so I would go grey – plus I will have to keep those sources in mind for the next house – grey is supposed to be one of the main colors. LOVE the tights and boots! Are the tights striped as they appear to be? I am a fan of funky tights and cute boots!

It seems like the grey makes your closet even more luxurious. Like a 5 star hotel. 🙂

    Definitely love the gray!

If you’re not going to put up the ironing board there, does that mean you’re going to keep the gray chair?

I love the white! Although white is my favorite too, it just makes everything feel clean and open 🙂

Grey or white, I like them both equally.

Fish Foam, eh? I use a mixture of hydrogen peroxide & water as a glass/window cleaner. Streak free every time… and cheap. Try it.

I like the gray best too. You did a great job of making that window look centered.

That’s a tough decision. They both look great. Must say you look pretty fancy while cleaning your windows. I must confess, I am usually in my sweatshirt and plaid pajama bottoms when I clean mine. Heck I live in em.

It may be just a coincidence, but the light fixture seems to pick up / reflect some of the grey color so it’s easier to see. Against the white, the fixture seems to disappear.

So, I’m in the minority, I like the white and would trim the leading edge with a Greek key, or something with a splash of color. Then I would add a fab runner.

The grey gives off a great pop of color and glams up the space. Goes from wow to wowza!

I really like the gray too, although the white is light and airy. How about the gray for winter for more drama, and the white for summmer?

I like the grey a little better too… The inspiration picture you put in was fabulous too… just can’t imagine having that with my little boys running around though!

Hi! Just discovered you blog. I’m enjoying it! Here is something that will impress that I learned from my expensive art school education….white is the absence of color! I know! I thought it was just the silly crayon that didn’t ever show up on paper. But yes, I like white too!
