I used blocks (scrap wood) to bump out the outside and then added beadboard.

Quick question, for the cabinets on the end, did you double up the plywood/MDF? From the pictures looks like your face board is wider than 1/2 but it appears to not stick out into the cabinet. On the video it wasn’t shown the end piece. Thanks!
