I hate 1/4 panels on doors. The whole door seems…. flimsy. Have been looking for a better way to build a beefier drawer/door and you nailed it. But I’m just curious. Why didn’t you just pin the panel with the 23 gauge pinner instead of using weight on the door panels? If it’s because you didn’t have one I can strongly recommend it. Otherwise just curious why you didn’t do that.
